Flies & gnats: types, identification & control
Small flying insects indoors are almost always a breeding-source problem, not a spraying problem. Fruit flies breed in ripening produce and recycling, drain flies breed in the organic film inside drains, fungus gnats breed in overwatered houseplant soil, and cluster flies overwinter in wall voids. Identify the fly, remove the source, and the swarm ends.
